We've got 7 incredibly simple style hacks you can use to look better than your friends. Let's get into it!
1. Dominate With Red And Black
Colors send out a subliminal message. You project certain emotions when you wear them.
Research published in the Journal of Evolutionary Psychology suggests certain colors make you more attractive to the opposite sex.
Command attention by wearing dominant, contrasting colors.
The study found that women found men wearing red and black – the colors of dominance, assertiveness and attractiveness – most attractive. Leverage these colors to your advantage and bring them into your wardrobe.

2. Command Attention With Your Accessories
How can you make a statement without saying a word?
Accessories.
“Accessorising” is the art of adding accessories to complete an outfit and is overlooked by many men.
Be the best-dressed man in the room and use this to your advantage.
Accessories make your outfit pop. The simpler your outfit, the bolder your accessories can be.
Accessories allow you to express yourself without saying a word.
But beware of over-accessorizing. Piling on the jewelry will overpower your outfit and make you look unattractive – and like you're overcompensating for something else.
Limit your accessories to one per body part.
First, you need a quality watch. Your watch does much more than just show the time – it sends out a message to those around you. It's impossible to be the best-dressed man with a poor-quality watch.
Add a pocket square, boutonniere or lapel pin to your blazer as an easy and extremely effective way of standing out from those around you.
Consider wearing a ring or adding cufflinks. Ties are becoming less commonplace in casual environments but wearing a tie draws attention to your face and conveys authority so consider adding it to your outfit.
Bonus Tip – Get A Skincare Routine
This article focuses on being the best-dressed man. But taking care of your skin is important. Some guys may see it as a little feminine but women love a guy with clear, bright skin.
No amount of dressing up or peacocking can change this – acne and greasy skin are a turn-off.
It doesn't have to be like this – you need to invest in men's skincare products made with natural ingredients and get yourself a skincare routine – and stick to it.
3. Peacock With Style And Fabrics
A male peacock flaunts himself and uses his decorative feathers to attract a mate. Peacocking is the human equivalent.
Be more attractive by adding a touch of extravagance to your outfit. Wear a red or black velvet or cashmere blazer – the color will draw them to you and the luxurious texture will make them want to touch you.
If you want to look like a badass, get yourself a turtleneck sweater and combine it with a blazer. It’s impossible not to look amazing in a turtleneck.
The double-breasted suit jacket is refined, sophisticated and elegant and it's the perfect choice if you want to stand out from others.
And our final tip – one of the first things a woman notices is your shoes. Add some double monk strap dress shoes. They are unique, versatile and stylish and will get you attention.
4. The Best Dressed Man Pays Attention To Detail
We've covered dominant colors, accessorizing and peacocking. It's fair to say that you've probably got the girl's attention. So don't let yourself down with the details.
Your belt, shoes and watch strap should match as closely as possible. If you've got black shoes on, make sure your belt is black.
You want the belt buckle to have a very similar color to the metal on your shoes if they have metal. Specifically, we are talking about the buckles on monk strap shoes.
Tuck your dress shirt in properly and pay attention to your gig line. The gig line is the imaginary line that goes down the placket of the shirt, aligns with the belt buckle, and then aligns with the front seam of the trouser.
The difference between being mediocre and being the best dressed man is attention to detail.
Next, polish your shoes and make sure you replace those worn-out shoelaces. Use collar stays to keep your collar stiff and if you are wearing a jacket, make sure you unbutton that second button! And can you see ½ shirt cuff where the sleeves end?
A shirt with a twill weave may not be noticeable from afar but she’ll notice it close up and it shows you take pride in your appearance.
Always iron your clothing – don’t look sloppy with creased or wrinkled garments.
5. Dress For Your Body Shape
The masculine silhouette – a built-up chest, a lean torso, and strong shoulders – attracts women.
We're not all built like this but you can create the illusion with the correct clothing. Know your body shape and learn to emphasize the best aspects of your build to divert attention away from your undesirable features.
Dress for the body you have NOW. Don’t put off wardrobe improvements for that 2-year diet plan you’ve been working on.
Remember, you can not be the best-dressed man if your clothes don't fit you.
Ask yourself, are your trousers long enough? You shouldn’t be able to see your socks when you stand but they shouldn’t bunch at the shoe.
How does your shirt fit? Use our perfect dress shirt checklist.
And your blazer – does it fit like a second skin? Pay particular attention to the shoulders and the sides – have it tailored so it tapers. This simple trick can make your outfit look 1000 times better. Is it long enough?
If your clothes don’t fit, take them to the tailors or get new ones – no excuses.
6. Wear Your Clothes (Your Clothes Don't Wear You)
If you rarely dress smartly or to impress people, it will show the first time you wear new clothes.
You may appear nervous or self-conscious and these are unattractive traits.
“A man should look as if he had bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgotten all about them.” – Hardy Amies
Practice wearing your clothes to feel confident in them. Walk around the house in your clothes until it becomes natural to you. You wear your clothes; your clothes do not wear you.
Don’t make dressing well a one-off; build up a foundational wardrobe and over time, replace your clothes one by one until you’ve built an interchangeable wardrobe.
7. Power Posing
To attract a mate, animals take up more space and maximize their presence.
You walk into a room and instinctively know who ‘top dog' is – it's the guy who takes up more space, whose chest is out and his shoulders are down and back. He may not be the best-dressed man in the room but he commands everyone's attention. You need to be this guy.
Assuming a “high power pose” can not only make you more attractive; it can boost your confidence.
Power posing can raise testosterone by 20%.
In a study conducted by researchers at Columbia and Harvard in 2010, people were put in high power poses and it was noted that they had increased testosterone, decreased cortisol (i.e., stress levels went down) and feelings of being “powerful” and “in-charge”.
To assume a power pose, stand tall with your chest out and your shoulders down and back. Hold your head high – imagine there's a string pulling at the top of your head and place your hands on your hips. If you are sitting, lean back and stretch your legs out.
Practice this daily until it becomes natural.
